It's beginning to look alot like......

CHRISTMAS!!! Whoo hoo! I'm really excited this year! For once I am actually organised and I can relax and look forward to it for a change. Usually I am out there with every man and his dog doing the last minute Christmas shopping. UGH. That's just not fun! I made the decision this year to be done by Dec 1st, well, I didn't quite make it, but I was done with 2 weeks to spare! YAY me! LOL. I'm also trying to think about our camping trip to Valla resort. We are camping for two whole weeks, but al least this time we will have power and running water! It's a nine hour drive for us, so we are planning on leaving in the wee hours so that the kids will *hopefully* sleep most of the way. Nine hours in the car with 5 kids, could be interesting to say the least.

Bunny had a little photography challenge for us today on her blog. The challenge was to take 5 photo's on the first things that jumped out at you. Well, my photography skills need a little work, but here are my 5 pics....

DSO is starting an EZINE and we're looking for layouts featuring DSO Product. The Dec call will end Dec 20th, we are looking for WINTER themed layouts or Hybrid projects.

Email submissions to support@digital-scrapbooking.org with "DEC LAYOUT CALL - WINTER THEME" in the subject.
Layouts must include a complete supply list, and must contain primarily DSO product.

Deadline for Dec Winter submissions is DEC 20th, 2008.
Layouts chosen will be featured in the Jan edition,
and compensated with a $5 GC to the DSO store.

1st of Decmber

Holey cow! Does that really say DECEMBER up there? Where DOES the time go? Well, if your house is anything like ours, you will be starting to gear up for Christmas!! We put up our Christmas tree today and some decorations around the house! The kids were all dancing around to the Christmas CD's we traditionally have playing in the background. They pretty much did it all by themsleves too. All except the bead strands (didn't want them to get all tangled up LOL) and the star on the top. That's Daddy's job. They did a pretty good job don't you think?.....

Heaven on Earth!

OMG! What a wonderful place Fiji is! We will definately be going back, and taking the kids this time. Contrary to Bunny's opinion, (LOL) I haven't been on holidays in Fiji all this time...unfortunatley, I'm just a slacker!

If you have ver heard the saying "I'm on Fiji time" it couldn't be truer!! They are so layed back and definately NOT in a hurry! LOL But the people are so friendly and welcoming, I can't wait to go back there with the kids!

...and I just can't hide it! LOL
Not long to go now and DH and I are off to FIJI!! I can't wait!
The forcast if for rain over the weekend, hopefully we do get to see the sun while we are there!
We are staying at the Sonaisali Island Resort, it looks like heaven on earth!

Fall Splendor contribution

Camping is so much fun!!!

Well, we arrived home from our camping trip yesterday afternoon, dripping wet I might add!! As it turns out, it wasn't the critters I need to look out for, it was the weather! Rained steadily the first night, but everything managed to stay dry, but then poured all morning, 7 of us huddled under our 3m x 3m gazebo with our camp kitchen set up was quite cozy!! Eventually it stopped raining, and the kids went of to play. The wind also decided to make an appearance, so there was dust and leaves and smoke going everywhere!! We did get to toast our marshmallows on the fire, which the kids thought was fantastic, (poor deprived children! LOL)
After that it rained a little on and off but nothing too bad until Monday, pack up day. The day started out beautifully, so we took our time packing up, then the big black clouds rolled in. We managed to get everything packed up except the tent, and that is when the skies opened!! The kids all stayed dry cause we left gazebo up for them to sit under, but DH, DD1 and I got DRENCHED!! And then, wouldn't you know it, almost as soon as we had it in the car, it stopped and the sun came out!!! ARRRGGGHHHH!!
We went on a 6km bush walk on Sunday, and let me just say, my legs are now reliving every step. LOL

It's good to be home, but now I have the dreaded unpack and wash EVERYTHING. With a campfire, it all smells like smoke, so it all has to get washed whether it was actually worn or not!! FUN, FUN, FUN!!! UGH
